Amazon Marketplace..."Not Always a Bed of Roses...Sometimes With Thornes"!

Charles Dusek as Director of Digital Marketing for 9 Years at Marche Provence...We used Amazon Marketplace as a 3rd Party Seller for 2 years.

During the course of our experience, we found it difficult to directly connect/engage with Marketplace people.   Amazon resources engagement is in "algorithm-driven engagement with us" not people-to-people.

The Product Images we could Upload for our products could "not include" any add-in imagery of Real-Life Settings with other Decor Items. Sellers can only use sterile isolated product images.  

Further, all goods posted on Marketplace required us to disclose/include our product's EAN identification numbers for European-Sourced Goods, or a ISBN (International Standard Book Number).  When we had attained popular demand and shopper orders for our popular items on Marketplace, competing sellers highjacked our EANs to begin selling the same items directly against us, and possibly direct selling by Amazon also.  We closed our selling relationship on Amazon Marketplace because of its unethical violations.

NOTE Products & Customer Confidentiality: If and Only If a Seller utilizes his/her own independent free-standing website, or maintains an independent website that is within a Metro-Area E-Commerce Marketplace, then the Seller can keep EAN or ISBN product identification about who fabricates & supplies one's goods fully confidential, to avoid hijacking or piracy of a seller's goods portfolio.

The MVM Marketplace is an Ecommerce-Innovation having up to 20,000 Metro-Area local merchant vendors of all types of goods and services to be On-Line and In-Store sellers to a targeted Metro-Area of over 500,000 to 2,000,000 populations of shoppers.  All of each MVM Vendor's Customers & Names and Contact Information, Purchasing History and Seller-Product Identification Numbers (EAN, ISBN, ASIN, UPC & other GTINs) are the Exclusive Property of the MVM Vendor.

              

The MVM Enterprise Platform will not do any Direct Marketing and Selling to any Customers of any MVM Vendors.
